In Class Assignment for 8-31-12

In Friday's class, students were asked to complete a "mini-essay" on what they would do if they were running for president. Students were given a list of topics to choose from, and were asked to complete roughly eight sentences or bullet points about the problems they see in our country and to put forward possible solutions. While students were given ample time to complete the mini-essay in class, I suggested that those that did not complete the essay could do so at home or, if unable to access the internet or Blogger, to come to class Tuesday prepared to discuss their ideas. The objective of this assignment is to utilize critical and creative thinking skills, while also becoming familiar with the Blogger platform.
